RDR Update

THE BLUEROCK RDR CHALLENGE REVIEW

The current RDR implementation deadline is now just 18 months away. It will transform the financial services marketplace and break the existing commercial relationships between providers, distributors and customers with a shift in the balance of power. These changes require a response far beyond simply being RDR compliant and organisations need to transform their business models to meet a changed and changing consumer focused landscape, at a time of multiple market and regulatory demands. Therefore the most pressing Executive RDR challenge is to be sure that their organisation is not only compliant but remains relevant post 2013. To assist Executives in assessing whether their organisation’s RDR thinking, design and operational implementation is shaping up to deliver success, we have launched our RDR Challenge Review process.

This review provides senior executives with the answers to the following questions;

  • How can I be sure my target business model will be successful and relevant post January 2013?
  • Will my RDR Programme deliver my target business model?
  • Does my RDR compliance programme support the delivery of my target business model?
  • Will they be delivered on time?

These are the questions the FSA will want organisations to answer very shortly.

OUR FOCUS

As independent external consultants we undertake an objective review of the three fundamental building blocks of a successful RDR response and forensically apply our in-depth market knowledge, experience and skills to de-risk an organisations initiative. It is commercially not regulatory focused, divided into 3 overlapping arenas:

  • Strategic Foundation  - Applying our in-depth knowledge of the market to challenge your thinking
  • Delivery Outlook - Assessing your programmes robustness, suitability and prognosis
  • Regulatory Confidence - Ensuring your compliance project complements your business model

OUR SCOPE

The review has been designed to focus on the key success indicators for RDR within an organisation. Whilst the core areas for examination and comment are common the emphasis will alter by organisation. We work with clients to shape our activity to draw out the key areas of risk or exposure within their ambitions and delivery plans.
